Getting off to the Right Start

The Home Page at the very top of the left menu is the best way to get started in your course. It has the syllabus, contact information for your professor, grades, and introductory information for the course.

Start your course by clicking on the "Start Here" button on the Home Page.

All online courses at NEO begin with a "Start Here" module that you can access before the first day of class. Look for an email from your faculty member welcoming you to the course and letting you know you can access this module. On the next page you will be able to view the "Start Here" module within a sample course.

When your course opens fully, you will see your weekly modules where your readings, assignments, quizzes, and discussions will be located. This is the best method of navigation to fully understand what is required for your assignments. Navigating using the "to-do" or "coming up" lists is not recommended, as you may miss things.

Below is a basic example of what you might see on the Home Page. This Home page format is the same across all of your courses.
