Computer Technical Requirements

Before your course begins, you'll want to make sure your computer is ready to support you.

Please review NEO's suggested minimum technical requirements for a computer in order to take an online course.

For best performance, access Canvas with a computer that supports the most recent browser versions. It is recommended to use a computer five years old or newer with at least 1GB of RAM.

Canvas requires an operating system that can run the latest compatible web browsers. Your computer operating system should be kept up to date with the latest recommended security updates and upgrades.

Internet Browser

You will consistently be using internet throughout the time you're in your online course. You'll want to make sure you have access to a reliable internet connection. You may even want to think through back-up options if your primary internet access is compromised in some way.

Supported Browsers - Canvas support the current and previous major releases of the following browsers:

Chrome

Firefox (Extended Releases are not supported*)

Edge

LockDown Browser (supporting the latest system requirements)

Safari
